So I get this email from Friendster this morning. I think to myself “Hey… I need to build my other social networks as well, so what the heck, let me see what contacts I have that are using Friendster”

So I click “Find Friends” in the email. I enter my gmail address and…………

“404 Error : This page can not be found”

FAIL

I bring this up because today’s consumers are so fickle, so busy, so ADD (I include myself here) that consumer web apps need to make it super EASY and super SOLID so that engagement happens immediately. If not, you’ve lost a user, like Friendster lost me.
