I don’t know what it is… but I have an obsession w/ domain names. I just think….. “Oh, this would be a cool name for a company, someone will want this” Well, that hasn’t exactly worked out to be the case but I digress…

As the title indicates I use godaddy to register most of my domains. Every time I call them for support on domain forwarding or DNS changes or whatever they always do an “Account Review”. To some, this might be annoying, but to me (a guy in biz dev) I think it’s essential to selling more.

Consider EVERY customer interaction (email, phone call, tweet) as an opportunity to sell more and you will succeed. Of course, you gotta be tactful and respectful… and the @godaddy reps always are. If they sense I’m giving a lot of “Yep” responses to their questions, they are always quick to let me move on my way.
